I took my rig that was wired up via Node-RED for controls and analytics and did some tests using Aerogarden seed pods. It worked to grow a cherry tomato plant and get tomatoes. This was an indoor setup using LED lights, my custom misting setup for the roots, and lots of sensors. I included a camera as well that could monitor the growth process. However, it started to bother me that I was using grid energy, so my next version went outdoors, using solar, and ditched a lot of the unnecessary parts.
